Queen Elsa of Arendelle

Image
What I liked (and still like) best about the d20 system was the sheer versatility it offered in character creation. It is easily adaptable to so many different genres and power levels of characters that it is possible to create almost any character with just a little work. I hereby present to you "Elsa, the Snow Queen of Arendale". I did not give her any equipment since she is a "stay-at-home" adventurer but she would typically carry 9,400 gp worth of equipment (as an NPC) or 27,000 gp (as a player character). This does not include income from taxes or trading interests. * Metahuman character class is taken from d20 Paragon by D. Jon Mattson. Queen Elsa of Arendelle (a.k.a. Day Three of the Odinsleep - End of the First Day

Image
Day Three of the Odinsleep (Midnight) “I don’t know. Is there a way you can send me home? I did like the immortality and fame.” The young woman frowns and shakes her head, “No, that is beyond our power. it may beest beyond the power of the Bifrost itself. Our proposal standeth as is – thee giveth up the mantle and in return, we wilt maketh thee more formidable. Aye or no, Korbin Crow? thee must decideth now.” “No…I won’t do this,” the talking bird responds. He spreads his inky black wings and takes flight, soaring off into the darkness. Arthur remains for a few moments longer, keeping an eye on the Norn to see if she plans treachery but when she turns and starts walking back to the other two women he turns and flies away as well. Korbin is nowhere in sight, his black feathers blending in with the night sky as he glides over the city. Finally he spots what looks like a suitable roost for the night and descends, alighting in the upper branches of a thin ash tree and n...

Smoke Powder Golem

Image
Smoke Powder Golem                                     CR13 (Original drawing of Smoke Powder Golem)   A Smoke Powder Golem is a blending of technology and the divine magic of Gond created to serve as temple guardians.   On average, the golem stands 12’ tall and weighs 8,000 pounds.   The smoke powder golem resembles the more common Iron Golem except its right arm has been replaced with the thick barrel of a bombard.   A large “backpack” has been built onto the golem and contains the ammunition for the golem’s cannon (internal magazine of six shells).   Firing the cannon causes the next shell to automatically, move into the firing chamber.   The golem smells of oil and sulfur.   N Large Construct Init: -1; Senses: Listen +0, Spot +0 Languages: Understands the langua...

Day Three of the Odinsleep - The Halls of Valhalla (part 4)

Image
Day Three of the Odinsleep (10pm - Midnight)     The crone narrows her eyes, and Korbin feels her gaze sweep over him, smiles, revealing teeth made of iron, “The sparketh of imm’rtality he carryeth wilt beest our price. Doth thee concur, Korbin of Aesopica?”   Korbin pauses when asked the question. “My immortality…I’ll have to think about it.” The crow takes flight and glides over to a nearby tree to roost and ponder what would be a limited lifespan. The youngest of the women joins him, “What is thither to thinketh about? It isn’t thee that’s immortal, just thy office. Should thee perish, another bird will inherit thy mantle and continueth as the Crow of Aesop.”   Korbin looks the young woman, “And what would you do with my immortality if I give it up?” he asks.   The Norn looks toward the pool and the two swans swimming in its still waters, I would giveth it to her. We has't the gift of foresight and knoweth what wilt cometh to...
