      The Intersect was developed as a joint CIA/NSA project in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, when the intelligence community was directed to improve cooperation and information sharing between agencies. The CIA and NSA recognized that the primary challenge was no longer the collection of information, but the ability to analyze the enormous volume of available intelligence and identify connections that individual agencies had failed to recognize.      The solution was the Intersect: a computer system capable of consolidating massive intelligence databases and encoding the information into the subconscious mind of a compatible human subject. While I was out driving for work today, I started thinking that Devastating Critical and Overwhelming Critical should have a ranged variation  available because a legendary archer or sniper should also be able to land a "perfectly placed shot" that would be instantly fatal. So, I am making the following change to the feats for my campaign . Devastating Critical  [Epic] (Epic Level Handbook, p. 53) Choose one type of melee or ranged weapon, such as longsword or heavy crossbow. Transformers exist on Earth-218 . Not in great numbers but they are there  so it stands to reason that there are those who would have knowledge of the Universal Greeting.  Feat: Universal Greeting [General] Bah-weep-Graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong Benefit: You know and are able to use the Universal Greeting. It is used to express peaceful intentions when a language barrier is present. It also conveys knowledge of the accompanying hand gestures and (optional) dance. The speaker gains a +2 bonus to Diplomacy checks with non-terrestrial lifeforms when using the Greeting. However, there is a 50% chance that the Greeting has the opposite of the intended effect and causes listeners to attacker the speaker instead. Normal:  Simply speaking the words has no effect beyond making the speaker seem mildly deranged.

Today, I thought I would share a couple small things that I have had floating aroud for awhile that aren't quite meaty enough to get their own posts.  "Suspicious Minds" is probably my favorite Elvis song and its title sounds more like the name of a feat for 3rd edition than any other song I can think of. Within, food stained pages hold dozens of recipes ranging from simple breakfasts to elaborate desserts and plans for entire banquets.
