A Horse By Any Other Name (Part 4)

One Month after the Summer Solstice (Seventh Moon, 1000 ALB)

Once the group makes it to town, Kysek lands. He stands tall, looking around and taking in the details of the village before turning to this strange horse, "You are a bit of an odd fellow. Perhaps you would be so kind as to enlighten us as to where exactly 'here' is. Starting with the broad strokes and gradually narrowing it down to this town?"

Foil Hat stops his rambling and giggling for a moment and takes a breath, "You don't know, do you? Only beings from another plane of existence, sent to this dimension and taking on the forms you wear now in an effort to blend in would have to ask... yes, that is an answer that mostly makes sense. And, you don't seem to be hostile, so perhaps your arrival was unintended and you seek only to return from whence you came. Hmmm.... yes, yes. That must be it, or at least close enough," he mutters more to himself than to us. "In that case, I would like to be the first to welcome you to the Kingdom of Canterlot, specifically the town of Ponyville."

As the party begins speaking with Foil Hat, Raven moves off to the side and begins collecting small stones, stacking them in a pile until they more-or-less resemble a tiny throne before bowing his head in silent prayer, "Shaundukal, I know not where we are but trust you to guide my steps through this strange land to the destination you have in mind for me." With that, the swordsman takes a deep breath and turns his attention to the matter at hand.

Niklas introduces himself and then shakes his head as he drifts to the rear of the group, "It's bad enough that we appear to be horses, but now we are meeting other horse 'people'."

Ra'ziir only partially pays attention to Foil Hat's answer, looking around before focusing in on the large round building in the village square. He turns on Foil Hat and asks, "So, what's that building there?"

The unicorn replies, "That building with the balconies built into the large tree is the library. The princess' apprentice has moved in there. Ponies coming and going all of the time."

Grotto nudges Cedron, "Bard, perhaps you should try to find out what this horse is about. He's obviously a bit on the paranoid side. Not sure what he says will be helpful but I don't trust him!" The dwarf-turned-pony prays to Hanseath, this time with the weight of a spell and quietly heals some of his lingering injuries.

Shadow jumps in to the conversation with Foil Hat, "We Are traveling the worlds, righting wrongs and trying to get our thumbs back and find our way home before things get even worse. So what is the story on the "THEY" and what don't "THEY" want us to know?"

Foil Hat snorts in response to Shadow's questions, "HA! Good idea! We don't want Them to know that we are wise to their scheming and plotting, unseen players controlling our every move from the safety and comfort of their homes, deciding our fates with little more than a roll of the dice!"

Cedron decides that the best way of dealing with those who are mentally unstable is to not overwhelm them. He looks around, taking mental note of the buildings, the other horses and their markings and once their new acquaintance pauses for breath, Cedron interjects, "My name is Cedron, and I love a good song. Have any other new ponies arrived in town lately, my friend?"

Drax silently observes everything. He finds himself wondering how these folk are able to produce anything like baked goods, tools, homes, or even tin foil hats for that matter!
