The Monkey

This is another one of those ideas that hit me while I was driving along listening to videos. This one was talking about Stephen King short stories that had been adapted into movies. One was "The Monkey."  SPOILER ALERT: The titular toy is bad. Every time it claps it's cymbals together, someone dies.  I started thinking about why and how we could incorporate it into a campaign and here we are. The Monkey Cursed Wondrous Item (Unique Artifact) Appearance: The Monkey appears to be an ordinary wind-up toy: a small, mechanical monkey made of painted wood, tin, and brass. Its features are exaggerated and cheerful, with a wide grin, bright painted eyes, and a pair of brass cymbals held in its hands. Vampire Walrus

     It started with a video about why orcas generally avoid attacking walruses.      The narrator got to the part about the dangers of those enormous tusks — how a walrus is not just a large, slow animal, but a heavily armed creature capable of seriously injuring a much larger predator — and I immediately thought  "Vampire."      The rest of the day became a rabbit hole involving undead traits, walrus biology, Arctic folklore, and a surprisingly important distinction between a floating log and actual driftwood. From one of the cheesiest movies of my childhood, I present  one of the coolest (and most impractical) weapons in all of cinema! Exotic Weapon: Triple Sword (a.k.a.The Sword that SHOOTS Swords) Two-handed Melee Weapon Cost: 390 gp Damage (Small): 1d8; (Medium): 1d10 Critical: 19-20/x2 Range Increment: 5' Weight: 10 lbs. Type: Slashing or Piercing Triple Sword: The triple sword is essentially a bastard sword with two slightly smaller additional blades mounted parallel to the primary blade. It is too large to use in one hand without special training, thus it is an exotic weapon. Unlike the bastard sword, the triple-blade design gives the wielder a surprising option. By pressing a button on the hilt, the wielder shoots one of the smaller blades at a nearby target. Due to the craftsmanship required to construct the weapon, it is only available as a masterwork weapon.

He could breathe normally without his ribs screaming in protest.
