Jack in the Box

This image has led to me spending entirely too much time delving into the history of Jack in the Box and its mascot-related history.

Jack in the Box is a popular chain of fast-food restaurants. Its founder, Jack returned to lead his company in 1995 after being ousted in 1980. Unlike McDonald's, Jack's restaurants exist solely in the physical plane.

His name implies that his biology and origins is shrouded in mystery, perhaps even to himself. There is a second creature, known as Ollie O. Ring, that is similar to Onion Ring Thing but more athletic. He is identical except for the following changes:

Secret Sauce Agent is a Caucasian male with a large nose, wearing a purple trenchcoat, black pants, and what appears to be a fedora hat. He may be bald under the hat. He has been seen carrying a pot labeled "Secret Sauce" which undermines his role as defender of the sauce's recipe.

• The secret sauce is a mixture of mayonnaise, mustard, and chili sauce.

Using the Jack in the Box Universe in your campaign: in addition to the party simply eating at one of the chain's restaurants, Jack himself could serve as a patron to a party of adventurers, especially those who travel to exotic locations, potentially coming into contact with new and exciting foods that could be incorporated into Jack's menu. Maybe the survivors from the board room bombing want revenge and the party must either eliminate or protect Jack from their machinations.
