Grotto's Siblings

In the Grimmlands, most dwarves are carved from stone in sets of seven. Entire villages devote themselves to the creation of their next generation. As such, they are "born" fully grown and with an adult's knowledge of their history and chosen craft, whether it be smithing, masonry, tinkering, or brewing. Male and female dwarves can reproduce in the same manner as other races but this is uncommon as it is considered highly inefficient.

Grotto's "batch" of dwarves, and their current fates are as follows:

Candor (1 of 7), Candor was considered to be the bravest and most noble of the seven. He was killed by Delve during a goblin raid on their village.

Delve (2 of 7), Delve was jealous of all of his brothers, vengeful and petty. He murdered Candor when goblins attacked their village. He served as Chief Executioner for Humpty Dumpty the Rotten King and Queen Cinderella. He was killed by Grotto in the battle at Jack and Jill's castle that restored Jack to the throne.

Grotto (3 of 7), Grotto was kept as a slave by goblins for years. He was regularly tortured and his face was burned. He is currently traveling with adventurers from realms beyond the Grimmlands.

Jakkar (4 of 7), Jakkat was taken prisoner along with Grotto. He died in goblin slave pens during a food riot.

Mormund (5 of 7), Mormund managed to escape the attack on his village. He wandered the Checkerboard Kingdoms for awhile and eventually ended up in Spinnenbruch as a smith fashioning replacement parts for looms and spinning wheels. He is relatively prosperous and is looking for wife among local shepherdesses.

Hegram (6 of 7), Hegram died in battle defending village from goblin attack.

Tybrek (7 of 7), After the goblin attack, Tybrek found his way to the Clocktower in the Checkerboard Kingdoms. There, he met Clockmaster Serge and accepted the gnome's offer of employment. He sacrificed his heart and had it replaced with a complex array of cogs and gears. He is now immune to disease and curses that affect his health and always knows the exact time but has become emotionless and severe, not caring about his surviving brothers and filled only with the desire to work in the tower.
