Background: Milton was born in San Diego, California in 1951. His father had served in the European theater during World War II and his mother was a painter. He was an average student but was often called a daydreamer by his teachers. He was enthralled by the animated films of Walt Disney, Warner Brothers, and had a voracious appetite for comic books. He would spend hours drawing his own. His mother encouraged his artistic pursuits but his more practical father wanted him to attend business school. He struggled through to graduation and once his schooling was completed, moved to Hollywood to pursue a career in animation.
After working for every major animator, he began developing a script and concept art for what would eventually be his first feature film, a musical version of Red Riding Hood. It was released to modest success but gave him enough money to produce "The Musicians of Bremen" and "Rumplestiltskin", the both of which were nominated for Academy Awards. Other films followed, as did several TV series, most notable among these were "Obvious Octopus and His Aquatic Friends", "The Adventures of Vincent Von Valentine", and "Mick the War Worm". "Mick" was a highly controversial program, being thinly veiled criticism and commentary on Anerica's foreign policy and involvement in the Middle East. The series was noted for its exploration of drug culture and realistic portrayal of violence.
Milton transitioned into more of a producer in the 1980s amd 90s, developing films based of Carter Blackburn's dime novel adventures during the Old West and 1920s. These films were followed up with animated retellings of costumed heroes both before and in the wake of the Superhuman Registration Act and establishment of the 50-State Initiative.
Lately, his work has centered on the development of better cameras and computer-integrated animation techniques.
