Snapshot

Snapshot is a shapechanging robot developed by the Q Branch of MI-6 in the 1950s.  He was lost while on assignment in Singapore by Agent 0011 and was presumed destroyed.  Despite his “vintage” appearance, Snapshot is a highly advanced piece of electronic and photographic technology.  He continually upgrades his components (through human intermediaries – often paid actors who do not know his true identity) to remain on the cutting edge of covert surveillance.

Appearance: Snapshot has two forms.  The first is a three-legged robot with a rectangular body and single, highly flexible tentacle-arm.  His second form is that of a Microcord Mk II 6x6 TLR (Twin Lens Reflex) Camera (see below).

• A Biomorph frame is essentially a hard plastic or metallic casing often, but not always, in a shape that suggests a living creature.  As a Diminutive Construct he has ⅛d10 racial HD (this is replaced by his Class level).  Snapshot’s “factory preset base” skills would have been Disable Device (2 ranks), Open Lock (2 ranks), Profession – Photographer (4 ranks), and Search (4 ranks) (these are replaced by skills acquired through class levels).
• Alternate Form (Ex): Snapshot has two forms.  The first is a three-legged robot with a rectangular body and single, highly flexible tentacle-arm.  His second form is that of a Microcord Mk II 6x6 TLR (Twin Lens Reflex) Camera.  To transform from camera to his robotic form, his lens plate rotates 90° counterclockwise, his tentacle arm extends from the center of the focus knob on his right-hand side, and his leg braces each fold up against one of his three legs.  He gains +10 bonus to Disguise checks to appear as a normal camera while in his camera mode.
• Construct Traits: Darkvision 60’, Low-Light Vision, Immune to Mind-affecting effects, Poison, Sleep effects, Paralysis, Stunning Disease, Death and Necromancy effects, Critical Hits, any effect requiring a Fortitude save unless it affects objects, Nonlethal Damage, Ability Damage/Drain, Fatigue, Exhaustion, Energy Drain or Death from Massive Damage (but destroyed instantly at 0 hp); Cannot heal on his own, must be repaired, cannot be raised or resurrected.
• Cutting Torch: Snapshot’s cutting torch is integrated into his Viewing (Right) Lens.  It deals 3d10 points of damage each round to immobile objects.  Due to the nature of the cutting torch, Snapshot must be meticulous in the way he cuts to maximize his effectiveness.  If used as an improvised weapon, the torch only deals 1d10 damage since it is being used in a more haphazard fashion.

Original Character Concept
• Flash (Ex): Snapshot can use his built-in flash to momentarily dazzle a target (Ref DC15 negates) for one round.  The flash pops up from a recessed compartment in the top of his casing.
• Garrote (Ex): Snapshot’s arm is long and flexible enough to be used a garrote.  Using a garrote is a form of grapple attack. As such, it provokes an attack of opportunity, unless the attacker has the Improved Grapple feat. The attack chance ignores armor and shields, but not natural armor. If the target's condition is eligible for a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether or not he actually has one), the attack receives a -10 penalty.
If the attack succeeds, the target takes damage (with full Strength modifier, if any), and the attacker receives an immediate opportunity to pin the target, with a +2 bonus to the opposed grapple check. In later rounds, the attacker receives a +4 bonus to further attempts to do damage, but may not perform any of the other actions typically available to a pinning character, other than releasing the hold. The defender receives a -4 penalty to any attempts to escape the hold, and is unable to speak.
A garrote can be used in combination with a sneak attack, or with an assassin's death attack.
Three consecutive successful attacks with a wire garrote kills the subject. This effect only works if the subject has an exposed neck and needs to breathe. Undead and other creatures that don't need to breathe aren't affected.
• Stability (Ex): Gains a +4 bonus on ability checks made to resist being bull rushed or tripped when standing on the ground.
