For your consideration... The Teddy Bear Picnic is the "domesticated" version of the Wild Rumpus. Once a year, on Midsummer's night, teddy bears and other stuffed toys come to life. Fur and claws, stitched smiles and button eyes, all come together in a fireside dance beneath the trees. An enormous moon shines down from above, bathing the world in silvery light. Drums and horns echo through the night - the rhythm becoming more frenzied, more feral with each passing hour. The Teddy Bears become larger and wilder, growing until they tower over their young wards, having become the Wild Things. Children who stumble upon the celebration are rarely harmed but are never the same afterward. They return to their homes, older, wiser, perhaps a bit more wild. They share stories that nobody believes. Those stories have some of the more fantastical elements edited out and are set to music, a nursery rhyme that becomes a song. Lately, my kids have been obsessed with the Adventures of Frog and Toad. We have read at least two of their stories every night at bedtime for at least the last two weeks and while "Cookies" and "Ice Cream" are by far their most requested selections, my daughter in particular has a definite fondness for "The Shivers" wherein Frog relates a story that may or may not have actually happened to him when he was younger. She gets super excited when the villain of the story, the Old Dark Frog, makes his appearance, quoting the dialog and squealing happily when the ghost claims that he is going to eat Frog after he jumps rope enough times to become hungry again. A collection of bits and pieces of things I've had bouncing around in my "to-do" pile... Clown Template  I had originally planned on making Ronald McDonald into an NPC (i am not really satisfied how Grimace turned out but I do still like my take on McDonaldland) like I have done with other mascot characters but, about ten minutes in, completely lost interest and started working on something else. The notes for this template have been sitting in my phone ever since. Clown is an Acquired Template that can be added to any Humanoid, Fey, or Outsider, referred to hereafter as the base creature. I did not know "Gravity Falls" waa even a show when it first aired but it recently popped up in my Disney+ recommendations because I watched " Phineas and Ferb ."
