Despite assumptions to the contrary, the party is Not going to engage in battle with Big Bird. However, having already made Cookie Monster as a character, I thought I would make a D&D version of Big Bird that is in keeping with him as presented on Sesame Street. Cookie the Barbarian

Image
I have been seeing a lot of Cookie Monster the Barbarian memes in my Facebook feed over the last week or so. This gave me the idea to stat out the character.  This turned out to be a far more complicated build than I anticipated, I ended up modifying and combining two different versions of the Muppet race, researching Cookie Monster, and because the only spellcasting Muppet I can think of is the Amazing Mumford , changing the Bard class for a Non-spellcasting version. Sidney "Cookie" Monster (a.k.a. Alistair Cookie) : male Muppet Barbarian 3/Bard variant 2 CR: 5     Small Humanoid (Muppet) HD: 3d12+6 plus 2d6+4 (40 Hp) Init: +1     Spd: 40'     AC: 16 (Scale Mail, Light Wooden Shield, +1 Dex), t: 11, ff: 16 (never flat-footed); (-5 ACP, 30% ASF) Attacks*: (BAB +4/Grap +6) ; +7 Greataxe: 1d10+3 (20/×3, used two-handed) or +6 Bite: 1d4 nonlethal      * additional +2 hit/damage during Rage SA...

Titanium Cranium

Image
A long time ago, I came up with the idea of a campaign involving different generations of characters. This would be a story that would unfold in chapters with callbacks to previous adventures. NPCs, both helpful and antagonistic , would show up repeatedly over the course of years. The campaign would begin during the American Revolution and move forward through the Old West , Prohibition , World War II , the 1950s, Vietnam, and then the 80s . Titanium Cranium (a.k.a Amos Whitmann): male Gadgeteer 2/Metahuman 2 CR: 6     Medium Humanoid (Human, Mutant)     HD: 2d8+4 plus 2d8+4 (28 hp) Init: +1     Spd: 30'     AC: 11 (+1 Dex); t: 11, ff: 10 Attacks: (BAB +2; Grap +2) ; +2 Unarmed Strike: 1d3 (20/×2) or +2 Head Butt: 2d4 (20/×2) or +3 Sonic Blaster: 1d4+1 (20/×2, 100', max 480') SA: Class Features, Mutant Abilities SQ: Class Features, Mutant Abilities Align: LG     Saves...

The Unstoppable Mr.Darcy

Image
I t started out as an idea for a quick, hopefully humorous one-shot. Over the course of the last year as other, similar material became available, it has grown into a short, but full-blown campaign. Based on the one-page RPGs " Pride and Extreme Prejudice " and " Trapped in a Cabin with Lord Byron " combined with " Sentai & Sensibility " and a smattering of the " d20 Anime " by Guardians of Order and d20 Paragon , I find myself continuing to expand on what was supposed to be a bit of a spoof set during the Napoleonic War. The party, based on the quartet of sisters from P&EP, hail from the Campbell family. Borrowing from Sentai, I think I have settled on the Mecha to be magically powered, summoned by magical combs the girls have, each linked to an iconic British animal - Bull, Raven, Boar, and Stag. By activating their magical focus, they first transform into superhuman warriors, armed with powerful melee weapons and armored in distincti...
