Morningmist Hall - Dagger Falls, Daggerdale

Image
Morningmist Hall is a temple dedicated to the worship of Lathander. Built by adventurers from Raven Keep on the site of a previous temple dedicated to the Morninglord in Dagger Falls, Morningmist Hall is a large domed building made of pink marble. The base of the building forms a circle 280’ across. Four smaller alcoves extend outward 40’ from the base. These alcoves serve as living quarters or meditation chambers for the clergy. The front of the building faces east, the direction of the rising sun. There are about twenty lay worshippers of Lathander in Dagger Falls but this number is climbing due to Morningmist Hall being the only center of worship in the city. The exterior walls of Morningmist Hall are 5’ thick, ceilings are of the alcoves are 20’ high, the grand walkway’s ceiling is 25’ high, and the remainder of the temple’s roof rises into a dome that reaches 50’ into the air. All interior spaces are lit by Continual Faerie Fire spells. Normal Exterior Walls

Day Four of The Odinsleep (In the Garden of Idunn - Part 2)

Image
Day Four of the Odinsleep (7:30 am) Idunn wears a silvery gown and has her long, blond hair tied into a single braid that hangs down past the middle of her back.   A woven basket rests on the ground at her feet.   She smiles as the group approaches and she offers Cedron her hand, “Good morning, brave heroes.   Are you ready for your day’s duties?” Cedron smiles upon seeing the goddess standing before him.   He reaches out, grasping her outstretched hand.   A wave of bliss sweeps over him as they touch and the minstrel’s mind wanders as he thinks to himself, “Did you ever imagine you’d be escorted by a goddess?”   He forces himself back to the present, reminding himself of his chosen path – to promulgate the Path of Progress among the less fortunate.   As if in response to his thoughts, the enchanted seed pouch hanging from his belt jostles against his leg.   “Remember thou art mortal,” he reminds himself as Idunn leads him deeper into the garden. Ra’ziir interrupts the prie

Helping Hand Caravan Company Headquarters

Image
Back in 2nd ed, when Clerics got followers for making 10th level, I had no idea what to do with mine when they arrived.  Being a Cleric of Shaundukal, after much thought, I decided that the ones I received would form the "core" of a merchant caravan that traveled the Dalelands in search of profits and adventure.  This is the home the party built for them. The Helping Hand Caravan Company Headquarters Originally established in 1362 DR after Maurith Slindearyl returned from the Island of Sahu, the Helping Hand Caravan Company operated primarily in the Border Forest , Daggerdale, Shadowdale, Mistledale and along the southern coast of the Moonsea. The Company moved its operations to the Velen Peninsula in Tethyr by direction of Maurith to assist the Coberal Trust Company is the establishment of a trade route leading from Banshee’s Point to the city of Velen roughly 80 miles away.  The Helping Hand Company has become the core of the newly established Coberal Overland Company.

Day Four of The Odinsleep (In the Garden of Idunn)

Day Four of the Odinsleep (Pre-Dawn, roughly 6:30 am) Despite the rigors of the previous day and ribald festivities of the night before, the group rises from their (in some cases drink-induced) slumber.   A page, sent by a servant of the goddess Idunn and her husband Bragi, waits for the party outside the home of Völundr the Smith. Grotto straps on the armor he acquired as his share of the spoils from the previous day’s battles.   The new armor, while enchanted to insulate him from the deleterious effects of sonic attacks is not as comfortable as his other platemail and sits heavier on his shoulders.   The dwarf makes his prayers to Hanseath, committing spells to memory for use later in the day. Drax rises and performs his morning katas before dressing.   He casts several spells in quick succession, as he does every morning, chanting the phrases, “ هماهنگی غیر قابل کشف ” and “ عدم تشخیص ”.   With enchantments in place to conceal him from certain divination spells, the assass
