Silvanost - The Arrival of the King

Image
15 Newkolt 349 AC IN THE OLD CIVIC BUILDING Romulus heads downtown. It doesn't take him long to find the community center or the workers who are busy converting it for use by the party. The halfling archmage strolls in, his spotted leopard, Macula, by his side and starts looking for his friends. Finding none of them, he settles for any familiar face and soon finds Alara. The archivist looks up from her clipboard and smiles, "Thank the gods that you've returned. Was your trip to the Tower fruitful?" "It was. I am quite pleased with the results." He looks around the room, "Where is everyone?" Alara lets out an exasperated sigh, "Ra’ziir is at the Aerie training to be a griffon-rider, Kysek has been summoned to an emergency Council Meeting, Cedron and Raven are on the Plane of Faerie trying to rescue Cassidy, Councilor Summerwalker, and the others from some old enemy of Raven's? Shadow and Grotto are currently unaccounted for." Romul...

Yes, But... What if it was Shadowrun (Part 4)?

Image
Again, not actually Shadowrun but heavily borrowing elements from the setting and adventure modules for my home campaign.  Raven stood in the shadows at the alley entrance. The collar of his green leather greatcoat was pulled up to ward off Seattle's seemingly ever-present rain. About halfway down the alley, the decker "Cipher Fluxblade" had plugged in to the loading dock's security pad and was running a series of complex algorithms to open the lock so the team could infiltrate the Cavilard Research Center and retrieve a file for their employer, "Ms. Johnson". The elven warrior's hand rested lightly on the hilt of Nightwatcher, the enchanted weapon's magic expanding his senses. His augmented awareness had enabled him to pick out the roving patrols of guards circling the grounds. He saw, but failed to register the threat imposed by the seemingly inert camera perched on the wall high above his head.... The Aether line of camera drones are technically o...

Silvanost - Consequences Continued

Image
14 Newkolt 349 AC AT SUMMERWALKER'S WAREHOUSE "By whose authority do you speak?" Grotto says to the men. "We wish no harm to you. Let us pass. Who is this Speaker of the Stars? We are kin folk, you and I. We look for answers to defend the realm from the enemy. We are not looking for trouble. Please let us pass." The guards remain impassive. "Grotto Grimmbeard, by the order of the Speaker of the Stars, ruler of the Silvanesti people, you are to surrender your weapons and come with us to face charges for assault on a Silvanesti noble," the guard notices the armor and other items taken from the preserved elf's tomb, "and possibly grave-robbing." By this time, other elves, healers that Grotto helped train, begin to emerge from the warehouse. The dwarf's good ear is able to pick up murmurs in the growing crowd. "Assault of a noble?" "Grave-robbing?" "Who did he attack?" "Are they sure?" Shado...

NPCs of the Crawling Fey

Image
Ellessandra was once a beautiful sidhe woman aligned with the Summer Court. After Raven killed her son, Flax, in battle, she swore revenge. Hatred and bitterness warped her appearance into that of a stooped crone with stringy black hair and deep blue skin. She wore a mithral crown adorned with a spider motif upon her head. She was killed with a Flame Strike summoned by Cedron. Her crown and the title of Lady of the Crawling Fey was passed to Wickerbell, who left the service of the River King to establish her own court. When she fought Cedron and Raven, Ellessandra was accompanied by Wickerbell (who tried to turn her from her path of vengeance), Jenny Greenteeth, 6 Ogres, 3 Trolls, and 3 Fomorian Giants. She also had several Large Monstrous Miilupedes and Large Monstrous Spiders lurking in the ruins of the church she has claimed as her lair. Cedron and Raven - The New Lady of the Crawling Fey

Image
09 Newkolt 349 AC Raven staggers over to where Wickerbell has dragged Cassidy and checks him over quickly. The kender seems fine but in a deep sleep. He looks at the small brownie, towering over her foot-tall frame. "Where are the others?" "Sleeping, in this room behind me. They are unharmed," she moves aside to give Raven room to pass. Cedron investigates the room and looks to see if any other enemies are within view. He finds none but Ornforithalas, Tephysea, and Eilra are all in chamber, deeply sleeping but apparently unharmed. Cedron then turns and lays a hand upon Raven’s shoulder. “I will treat the others, but first Master Sugar Plum, you are of no use in your current state…” The priest then channels his most powerful healing magic, mending the wounds Raven received in the battle. Raven thanks Cedron and then heads inside. He kneels beside Eilra and gently shakes her shoulder. It takes a few tries but, eventually, she stirs. Groggy and confused, she sits u...
