Yes, But... What if it was Shadowrun (Part 4)?

Again, not actually Shadowrun but heavily borrowing elements from the setting and adventure modules for my home campaign.

Raven stood in the shadows at the alley entrance. The collar of his green leather greatcoat was pulled up to ward off Seattle's seemingly ever-present rain. About halfway down the alley, the decker "Cipher Fluxblade" had plugged in to the loading dock's security pad and was running a series of complex algorithms to open the lock so the team could infiltrate the Cavilard Research Center and retrieve a file for their employer, "Ms. Johnson". The elven warrior's hand rested lightly on the hilt of Nightwatcher, the enchanted weapon's magic expanding his senses. His augmented awareness had enabled him to pick out the roving patrols of guards circling the grounds. He saw, but failed to register the threat imposed by the seemingly inert camera perched on the wall high above his head....

The Aether line of camera drones are technically obsolete, rolled out as a combined venture by BAE and Millennium Consulting nearly four years ago. They have limited programming and adapt poorly to the often fluid conditions of urban deployments, glitching when a situation expands beyond the parameters of what is expected. Their strength lays in their ability to go unnoticed, blending in with the thousands of other traffic and surveillance cameras mounted on nearly every surface throughout the city. Ubiquitousness made them effectively invisible.
