Turbo Teen - A Continuation
When I first converted Turbo Teen into a character for my campaign, I started wondering about the kind of adventures he would go. The type that most often came to mind were of the "Reluctant Hero crossed with The Fast and the Furious or Baby Driver" variety. Brett remains the central protagonist of the story with Pattie serving as his team's primary investigator, Alex being their Tech Guy, and Brett Jr being the audience stand-in who ends up on the receiving end of the exposition.
Possible plot lines include the Return of Turbo's nemesis Dark Rider, Dark Rider (or Alex Jr) gaining powers similar to Brett's, and other adventures based on (or paying homage to) any movie centered around car chases or races.
There are a couple of scenes that keep coming to mind:
The first is the arrival at Alex's house after Brett, Pattie, and Brett Jr give their initial pursuers the slip.
Bunch of wrecked Trans Ams along both sides of Alex's driveway, a crash test track behind the garage - Alex explains that he has been developing air bags and some other features that would come in handy if Brett ever decides to take up the mantle of hero again and so on.
The second is a chase immediately following Turbo's upgrades....
Brett focused on the rice burner in his rearview mirror. He had no idea what that thing had under the hood but he knew that it must be heavily customized to be keeping up with him on the open highway. The driver was good too – probably better than Brett in his human form and a close match even with Brett transformed into Turbo. The passengers were of greater concern at the moment though. Every time they got a chance, one or both of them would lean out of their respective windows to fire their pistols at him in an attempt to shoot out his tires. Turbo was running out of time, he had to do something and soon or it would be too late.

“Everybody! Hang on to something!” he shouted at Pattie, Alex, and Brett Jr through his speakers. “I’m going to try one of Alex’s toys!”
Brett concentrated, flipping the switch for the oil sprayer that Alex had installed just the day before, laying down a thin coating of oil on the asphalt highway before triggering his “turbo thrust”.
Two things happened.
First, Brett’s speed doubled, pushing him up to almost 200 mph. His passengers sank back into their seats, suddenly unable to lean forward against the instantaneous acceleration.
Second, the flames shooting out of his dual exhaust ignited the oil, creating a roaring wall of fire in the middle of the highway.
The driver of the pursuing car swore and instinctively turned the steering wheel, swerving in an attempt to avoid the immense conflagration and lost control. The small car ran off of the highway and into the ditch on the side of the road. The racecar hit the far side.
Hard.
The agonized sound of twisting metal and shattering fiberglass filled the air as the hot rod tumbled and bounced, flipping end over end as it expended its momentum against the ground. Neither gunmen in the back were wearing seatbelts and were thrown around inside the car, slamming into the roof, sides, and seat of the vehicle. One was ejected through the open window in a high arc and came crashing down in the fiery oil slick. The other was knocked unconscious from the repeated blows he received.
The driver was protected by his seatbelt and the airbag and survived with almost no injuries but the car was destroyed and came to rest on its roof on the side of the road while Turbo raced away, putting as much distance as he could between his family and the people trying to kill him.
