Another tower collapses in a cloud of dust and fire. The ground shakes as a towering rat strides over the rubble, its lashing tail stirring eddies in the cloud. It releases an ear-splitting squeak as a pair of green beams lance out from its eyes to scythe across the facade of a building, setting the stone ablaze.

Rattus is a gigantic, radioactive rat. Its body is 30' long and its tail is the same length. Bony spurs protrude from its coarse, spiky fur and its eyes shine with malice.

• Radioactive (Ex): Rattus is highly radioactive.  Characters within 20' of him must make Fortitude saves or suffer from radiation poisoning.  *In campaigns that do not feature radiation, he is surrounded by a heat aura that deals 1d4 fire damage to those within 30' of him every 5 rounds.
• Ray Attack (Su): Once every 1d4 rounds, Rattus can generate a beam of energy that deals 15d6 radiation damage as a ranged touch attack with a range of 300'.  In campaigns that do not feature radiation, this is a beam of fire instead. This attack is completely blocked by radiation suits and the like but ignores all other forms of physical  armor not designed specifically to stop it.
• Trample (Ex): As a full-round action, Rattus can move up to twice his speed and run over any creature up to Gargantuan size.  He deals 4d12+33 bludgeoning damage. Creatures may make a Reflex save (DC52) for half-damage if they do not attempt to make any attacks of opportunity.  
Skills: Rats gain +4 racial bonus on Hide and Move Silently checks, and a +8 bonus on Balance, Climb, and Swim checks. A rat can always choose to Take 10 on Climb checks, even if rushed or threatened. A rat uses its Strength or Dexterity modifier, whichever is higher, for Climb and Swim checks. A rat gains a +8 racial bonus on Swim checks to perform special actions or avoid a hazard. It can always choose to take 10 on a Swim check, even if distracted or endangered. It can use the run action while swimming, provided it moves in a straight line.
