Note: The Temple of Kiri-Jolith is based on "The Ghost Blade" from the 3rd edition Dragonlance Campaign Setting Sourcebook, modified for level and to fit the plot of our current campaign.

AT THE ABANDONED TEMPLE OF KIRI-JOLITH

Grotto walks down the corridor to the shrine. He inspects the stone alter for anything unusual. He orders his shield to float over his head. Grotto then takes the horn to investigate what it could be.

As the priest of Hanseath touches the horn and lifts it from its stand, a feeling of warmth spreads throughout his body. His aches and pains fade away, leaving him feeling refreshed. The gold shines with a soft glow, illuminating the chamber. A sense of peace washes over him and he hears a voice, clear and filled with purpose. "Do you swear to fight evil? Will you combat injustice? Will you mend the rift between the peoples of this world and show them the true path of brotherhood?"

Grotto's eyes open wide, he nearly drops the horn in shock! "I have lost many friends and students to the evil in this world. I give you my word that I will fight to rid not only this world of evil and injustice, but in any world in which I encounter it! I will help all that I encounter walk the path of brotherhood! I can feel your goodness and peaceful feeling within me. Who are you my friend?"

The voice speaks again, "The time of my return is nigh. Be patient and say true to your path. The world is almost ready."

EN ROUTE TO THE DRAGON ISLES

Arthur takes the provisions. "Thank you for all your help, Saria. If there is ever anything that I can do to repay you, please, don't be afraid to ask." He reaches into his coin pouch and pulls out a platinum coin. "Here, for you. Shall we leave, Lady Agnes?"

Agnes quickly embraces Saria and tells her to "be safe" before turning to Arthur. "Yes, My Knight, we should be on our way. We have far to travel."

Once the pair are several minutes out of the camp, Agnes reverts to her draconic form and takes to the air. "We will head west toward the city of Pashin in Khur instead of east toward the Bay. I stopped there on my way to Silvanost. The Khurish people are largely nomadic and have a deep love for horses. Perhaps we can acquire some mounts while we are there. I fear that my dragon form will draw too much attention from the Dragonarmies."

IN COUNCILOR SUMMERWALKER'S WAREHOUSE ~ NOW SERVING AS RA'ZIIR/SHADOW/KYSEK'S COMMAND CENTER

Ra’ziir appears in a flash of light with the last of the prisoners in tow. The bladesinger then quickly casts another spell of teleportation to return to Kurinost.

Cedron continues his efforts to heal those most injured, while addressing the arrivals. “Welcome home, brave elves. You’re safe for now. Make room for others to arrive. Clear the center of the room!” The elves begin moving toward the walls or falling into line for warm food and drink.

The warehouse door swings open and several of the healers from the House of Healing file into the large room.

AND, LASTLY, IN KURINOST...

The green dragon roars in fury and unleashes a cloud of poisonous, corrosive gas. The stinging smell of chlorine fills the harbor as the deadly chemicals wash over the three elves.

“Scatter!” Shadow says as he races away to the left of Kysek and Raven as fast as his spell-hastened legs can carry him. He clears the edge of the cloud and pivots, raising an outstretched half open fist out towards the dragon. He begins chanting the words to a spell he has never used before, one taken from Ali Abawa’s Spellbook, "Ο απαίσιος μαρασμός του Άμπι-Νταλζίμ!" As he completes his spell, he opens his hand the rest of the way. Steam begins pouring out from in between the verdant serpent's scales. The wyrm roars and pulls up, beating its mighty wings as it climbs higher into the air.

Kysek heads to the right and runs a good thirty feet or so before sliding to a stop. He pulls a pinch of guano from the pouch hanging by his hip and cries out, "Фиребалл!" An orange bead streaks from his hand, trailing ash and smoke as it flies through the air. The bead explodes in front of the dragon and the great reptile plunges through the expanding flames.

Before the dragon can emerge from the fire, Kysek He twists the ring upon his finger and disappears from view as he heeds Shadow's words.

Raven stands his ground, drawing and firing four arrows as quickly as possible, aiming for the dragon's eyes. His first two arrows hit the dragon in the face, skittering and skipping along the monster's long snout but do not strike the beast in its eyes while the third and fourth glance harmlessly away.

Then Ra’ziir appears, the words of a spell already on his lips. "Saelo Calad!" he cries before five glowing darts of magical energy burst from his hand. Each of the missiles pelt the emerald lizard in its underbelly, leaving scorched scales in their wake.
