The Universal Greeting

Transformers exist on Earth-218. Not in great numbers but they are there so it stands to reason that there are those who would have knowledge of the Universal Greeting. 

Feat: Universal Greeting [General]

Bah-weep-Graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong

Benefit: You know and are able to use the Universal Greeting. It is used to express peaceful intentions when a language barrier is present. It also conveys knowledge of the accompanying hand gestures and (optional) dance. The speaker gains a +2 bonus to Diplomacy checks with non-terrestrial lifeforms when using the Greeting. However, there is a 50% chance that the Greeting has the opposite of the intended effect and causes listeners to attacker the speaker instead.


Normal: Simply speaking the words has no effect beyond making the speaker seem mildly deranged.

     It started with a video about why orcas generally avoid attacking walruses.      The narrator got to the part about the dangers of those enormous tusks — how a walrus is not just a large, slow animal, but a heavily armed creature capable of seriously injuring a much larger predator — and I immediately thought  "Vampire."      The rest of the day became a rabbit hole involving undead traits, walrus biology, Arctic folklore, and a surprisingly important distinction between a floating log and actual driftwood. Day Four of the Odinsleep (Noon- 5pm) The Norn Mother nods and passes the crow to the Crone. Bony and wrinkled, liver-spotted hands with nails like talons pass beneath Korbin taking his sleight weight. Dull, milky eyes gaze down at him and paper thin lips peel back to the reveal her sharpened iron dentures. The gnarled, arthritic fingers of one hand close around Korbin’s beak and eyes with surprising strength, cutting off sight and air while the other hand pushes him beneath the surface of the pool. Panic sets in immediately. Korbin thrashes in the stone cold grip of the Norn Crone. With his eyes and beak covered, these is no sight, only darkness, and no water rushing in to fill the void left by the air leaving his lungs. Year-Round Shorts Guy

I am a Year-Round Shorts Guy. I hate wearing pants. When the mercury in the thermometer starts to travel upwards of 50°F, I start to sweat. If I am not working or attending a more "formal" event like a wedding, I will be in shorts. But this week, the low temperatures were between -25° and -29°F and that was beyond my ability to tolerate for more than just a few minutes at a time. I walked to the gas station across the street last night and there was an older gentleman who saw me and asked specifically if I always wear shorts and I told him pretty much what I just told you. DAY ONE (Day Three of the Odinsleep), 9:00 am As the group climbs free of the well, Raven ignores the proffered hand of Baldur and instead looks around the cavern, taking in the sights as Hansuke continues to rest upon his shoulder.   The earthen chamber is large, its ceiling is easily over a hundred feet in height and the three massive roots that penetrate its ceiling are thick, wider than the stoutest walls of any city he has ever visited.   Drax climbs free of the well on his own and looks around, noting that from this side, the well is filled with water, meaning that this was likely a one-way trip.
