Day Five of the Odinsleep (BEGONE!)

Day Five of the Odinsleep; (12:06 pm)

Loki rolls his eyes, “Oh, please.  Do you really intend to follow through on this farce?”  Loki looks in the direction of the hidden adventurers, “Come out, come out wherever you are.”
Raven grits his teeth, struggling to hold his swords up and at the ready, “We can do this all day.  Surrender, recall your army, don't make us embarrass you in your own home.”  Via the telepathic bond spell he shares with Ra'ziir, he asks the bladesinger, “On three?”

Ra'ziir silently responds, “On three, got it...”  The elf-emental shifts his feet, preparing to attack on Raven's signal.

“One...”

Kysek concentrates, willing his sword, Blackflame, to emit its field of silence, hoping it will shield him from Loki's voice long enough to cast a spell of defense.  Shadow, meanwhile, falls back a few steps, the power of the god, near to overwhelming the drow.  

Drax stares in horror as the very presence of Loki assaults him.  The assassin forces himself to think, to reach back into the rational part of his mind, to recall the training of his old masters, “Fear can be as daunting an obstacle as any guard or wall, and thus you should endeavor to avoid it.  If you cannot, then realize like any guard or wall, it can be overcome.  Let it not cause failure of your mission.  Remember, once sent you are as unerring as a bolt from the heavens, and as unstoppable.”  Drax takes a few breaths to calm himself, focusing on mastering his fear so he can act.

“Two...”

Inside the Cloak's extra-dimensional space, Cedron takes a deep breath and announces to Grotto and Niklas, “Ready yourselves, I'm going to open the cloak, and it's going to get really quiet.”  

Niklas nocks an arrow, waiting for the cloak to open, with plans of moving to the side once the three adventurers re-enter the room.

Grotto, seeing the hunting horn fly to Loki's hand mutters, “Whatever he intends to call with that can't be good.  Let's break it!”  The scarred dwarf hefts his throwing axe and readies himself.  

The minstrel-priest finishes a loose coin out of one of his pockets and hums a quick, enchanting the coin with silence.  Cedron throws open the Cloak, revealing himself, Grotto, and Niklas and then gives a slight bow to the god.  As soon as they reappear, Grotto hurls his axe. It tumbles end over end, spinning through the air toward Loki and is swatted away with contemptuous ease.

Raven's counting catches for about a half-of-a-second as Grotto reappears and throws his axe but he corrects instantly, hoping to use the attack to gain some sort of advantage and yells “THREE!”  As he and Ra'ziir surge forward, Loki shouts, “ENOUGH! I AM A GOD AND I WILL NOT BE THWARTED BY THE LIKES OF YOU! BEGONE!”

Loki, the Lord of Lies, the Master of Mischief, the Sly One waves his hand and there is a bright flash of light that quickly fades to black followed by the roar of silence that is soon replaced by gentle warmth.
