Day Five of the Odinsleep (The Wee Hours)
Day Five of the Odinsleep (2 am – 5 am, 2 hours until sunrise)
Ra’ziir returns to Völundr’s home. Kysek looks up as the half-elemental bladesinger enters the hall, “Did you find what you were looking for?”
Ra’ziir tells his elven companion about his meeting with Saga and her father, explaining what he has learned about the time elemental. He also asks if the group still intends on attempting to beard Loki in his lair. Kysek shrugs and replies, “Unless someone has changed the plan without telling me, then I suppose we are. Let’s hope that nothing as tragic as what damaged the bracer in the first place befalls our group again. There is nothing to save us now.”

While the two elves sit in silence, contemplating the day to come, their companions sleep. Grotto tosses and turns, waking with a start from some nightmare. The scarred dwarf digs through his pouches until he finds an alchemical mixture he prepared some time ago for just such an occasion. He squeezes the mix into a cup and adds some boiling water and honey, stirring the whole thing vigorously before drinking it down. The concoction scalds him but the dwarf shrugs it off as just another burn and nothing compared to the one that covers half of his face. The potent drug takes hold quickly and the dwarf’s eyes droop and within moments, he is once again fast asleep.
Korbin lets loose with a pleased “caw” as one of the dwarf’s in the shop ladles out a hearty helping of stew and places it on the windowsill for him before he begins eating. The warm food fills the bird’s belly. The dwarf watches while the bird eats, before asking, “Now, what brings a daytime bird like ye out in th’ dark o’ night?”
