I was going through some old posts last night and struck upon an idea.

Birds Aren't Real + Lawyer Dog + Magic Pickle + Superhuman Registration Act = one crazy adventure seed

Hicksville - while patrolling the city, searching for signs of the Brotherhood of Evil Produce, Weapon Kosher comes across a glitching Pigeon-bot that is attacking a random citizen. The Magic Pickle intervenes but is arrested for not being registered with the 50-State Initiative.

Lawyer Dog is appointed as his defense attorney.

The Rift that Dreams Back

  Raven couldn't remember entering a rift. One moment, he was walking toward Tarithnesti. The next moment, he was here. A long corridor made of polished stone. Faint starlight provided scant illumination. The air smelled of rain that hadn't quite fallen yet. Ahead, a door hung in mid-air with no wall attached. The words, " EXIT (DO NOT USE FOR EXITING)" were carved into it. A voice behind him spoke. "You are not supposed to be conscious in this layer." Raven turned. No one was there. A small bureaucratic stamp appeared in mid-air and pressed against something unseen. The words "TEMPORARY EXISTENCE AUTHORIZED" appeared - floating in the air just like the door. Tarithnesti - Distractions and Maneuvers

07 Deepkolt 349 AC EN ROUTE TO TARITHNESTI Kysek continues his flight with Dusk. The elf continues to switch his sight from his own to Bubo’s. He focuses on trying to see everything he can through Bubo’s eyes when doing so. When he focuses on his own surroundings, he keeps a keen eye for ground forces that may have not reached the city yet. He is always reassuring Dusk, “Keep out of sight, girl! Fly silently! Keep a keen eye for enemies! If we find them along the way; it may be our way to help save the city. You’re doing great! Remember; we are the ghosts in the darkness!” As Kysek urges Dusk to fly as fast as she can toward Tarithnesti, he spots it: a narrow stretch of road cutting between two hedgerows shows faint signs of passage: crushed grass, fresh hoofprints, and the glint of metal catching brief sunlight through the canopy. I apologize for posting this before it was ready.   I sat down the other day and hammered out some thoughts but in my rush, I failed to include any sort of context for my plan to incorporate Creeks and Crawdads into my ongoing D&D campaign. “What?” you ask.   “These are two entirely different games, two entirely different genres of games.   How can you possibly put these two systems together in the same campaign?” I’m glad you asked.   Let’s stop for a moment and look at the “canon” background for Creeks and Crawdads.   You, the player, assume the role of barely sentient crayfish after mankind wipes itself out in a full-scale nuclear war.
