Background: Paul Duvall was a chemist working in Paris
when he was accidentally exposed to an unknown chemical mixture that turned his right hand to stone. He soon learned that he could turn his entire body or other objects he touched with his right hand to stone as well. He quickly decided to use his power for profit and theft, becoming a criminal and mercenary. He has been jailed several times after being defeated by various superheroes.

Racial Abilities: Bonus feat at 1st level, +4 skill points at 1st level, +1 skill point/level after 1st, Class with highest level is favored class for multi-class purposes; Mutant - gain 3 "levels" worth of power (3 standard or 1 improved and 1 standard), Optional Charisma penalty (-3 Cha in exchange for 1 additional "level" of power), Evolved Metabolism (+4 bonus on initial Energy score), LA +1, gains Metahuman as a bonus Favored Class
Metahuman Abilities: 29 Energy
     • Improved Morphing: Energy Cost: 8, Duration: Persistent until dismissed; By touching his body with his right hand, the Grey Gargoyle can turn his body into living stone. While transformed, he is treated is immune to effects that require a Fortitude save (unless they are harmless or affected objects), gains a Hardness of 10 (electricity and fire deal ½ damage and cold damage is reduced to ¼ before Hardness is applied), and does not need to breathe.
          • Amplifier: Gains a +10 bonus to Strength (from the Hardness of his stone form) while transformed but his Dexterity is decreased by 5.
          • Amplifier: While transformed, Grey Gargoyle gains the benefits of Improved Brawn (+20 Str/DR2 vs Kinetic attacks), Ultra Meta-Dexterity (+9), and Ultra Meta-Constitution (+12). Brawn stacks with the Strength Bonus from Hardness.
          • Amplifier: Duration is Persistent until dismissed but Energy Cost is increased to 8 to "pay" for Linked Ability Increases
          • Reducer: Can only use this ability to transform himself into living stone
     • Petrification Touch - treat as Improved Paralysis: Energy Cost: 0; By touching an object with his right hand, the Grey Gargoyle can transform it into stone (Fort DC 23 negates). The normal maximum volume of material affected with a single touch is roughly 10 cubic feet. Organic victims do not suffer any ill-effects other than disorientation upon returning to normal. However a person is susceptible to severe trauma and even death if their granite-like substance is damaged.
          • Amplifier: Duration is increased to one hour, although a target with Regeneration may attempt a new Fortitude save each round to shake off this effect
          • Reducer: Power is uncontrolled and cannot be turned off.
          • Reducer: Range is reduced to touch

NOTE: In his human form, Paul has 63 hp. His Strength and Dexterity are 13, and his Constitution is 12. His Initiative score is reduced to +1. His statistics are based on the Marvel Superheroes RPG and adapted to d20 by using D. Jon Mattson's Paragon rules.
