Yes, But... What if it was Shadowrun (Part 2)?

So, still really grooving on the whole cyberpunk/Shadowrun aesthetic. We join this scene, already in progress, after Raven's first run-in with a "modern" (for the setting) mobile enemy. I am picturing the hoverbike to look pretty much like the Speeder Bikes from "Return of the Jedi" but with a chain gun and grenade launcher in place of the laser cannon and have drawn a not-so-good piece of concept art and even put some stats together but I digress...

"... and that is how you reload the minigun. Any questions?"

Raven shook his head and Butch closed the front panel on the hoverbike. "I have arranged for the entire system to function as a cohesive whole but I totally 'Frankenstein-ed' the weapon system together - General Electric Minigun, AresTech Grenade Launcher, precision aligned and calibrated with tech from Stark Industries." The old racer moved around to the far side of the bike. "Now...right yoke - throttle and gun control. Toggle switch by your thumb - all the way down is the safety, middle position is armed, push it up to fire. Keep your bursts short, you only have sixty rounds before you have to reload and you just saw what a pain that is. Left yoke - electronics and grenade control, toggle switch is the same as the gun but the grenades need to fly seventy feet before they arm. Shoot them at anything closer than that and they'll bounce off without exploding." He grasps the handle and lifts his left index finger. "The button under this finger cycles through all of your status updates - GPS, tachometer, airspeed, remaining fuel, remaining ammunition - and projects it onto the holographic HUD in front of you but it only works if you look straight ahead." He switches to his left middle and ring fingers, "Over here is your sensor options - air/ground radar, topographical map, your IFF contact identification system, and your active sensor jammer. The bike is small enough that it should be hard to detect to begin with but this should break any target locks that enemies can get on you."

Butch takes a step back, "Now, hop on."

The elf climbed aboard the hoverbike and placed his hands on the control bars and his feet onto the platforms that had swung down from beneath the chassis. "Mostly, you'll lean to steer but, one yoke forward while the other one is back will turn you in place. Pull back on both to climb, push forward to dive and whatever you do, don't smile."

Raven looked puzzled, "Why not?"

"You'll get bugs in your teeth," chuckled Butch.

So...after we get through the whole story I have planned and the characters can use Malazzarr's trees to go back and revisit worlds , this could be a thing... - - - - - Raven twisted the throttle on the hoverbike's steering column and pulled back. The repulsorlift vehicle screamed into the sky, the thunder of its engine and the roar of the wind was almost loud enough to drown out the sirens of the corporate security vehicle chasing him.  The world had changed dramatically in the thirty-eight years that had passed since his last visit. Many of the metahuman superheroes he had fought alongside had retired, replaced by a younger generation of cybernetically-enhanced individuals in the employ of the mega-corporations who, for all intents and purposes, had replaced the governments of entire nations. Silvanost - Grotto Returns, Shadow Departs, Kysek and Ra’ziir Join the Griffon Riders

07 - 08 Newkolt 349 AC AT THE ABANDONED TEMPLE OF KIRI-JOLITH Grotto marvels at the molted sword and the power it has. He puts it back in its sheath draws it again and walks about to play with this new invisibility. "This could come in handy on my axe!" Thinks the wet dwarf. Grotto then examines the jars. It dawns on him that the horn from the other room and the horns on the jar lids must be the holy symbol of the war god! "It must have been the good that spoke to me! Surely there is a way to reinstate gods here then!" Grotto thinks excitedly! Grotto gathers all the jars and looks around the room one last time for any other hidden goodies, clues, or any thing his recently deceased foe may have dropped. After which, Grotto leaves the chamber to the main room, careful to avoid the pit trap, and heads up the stairs to the surface. What city or town? Maybe a starting point. Anyone have temples or monuments to them? Maybe we should ask the dragons?” Romulus shakes his head. The bard and the swordsman set out, following the directions provided by Marzipan. Trees, heavy with ripe, sugary plums, line the trail they walk along. Every so often, a light brown, animal-shaped cookie crosses their path, moving quickly to either scramble up a tree or hide behind a snowbank. Most of these creatures; bears, hippos, sheep, a monkey wearing a hat, are no more than knee-high but the one giraffe they see rises at least as tall as their hip. Cedron makes a mental note of all the creatures they pass. He admires the monkey's hat, wondering quietly if there's a monkey milliner that makes and fits the hats for his simian brethren. AT THE ABANDONED TEMPLE OF KIRI-JOLITH Grotto once again marvels at the murals as he walks past them. A slight tinge of guilt flows through him.
