What Do You Mean He Can't Climb? He's Like 30th level?!

When I went to write This Post, I was surprised to discover that Raven has basically Zero Ranks in Climb.

None.

Zilch.

Nada.

He's the highest level character in the party and can't climb any better than Farmer Fred or Joe Commoner.  Even worse, he doesn't have any magical items that confer Flight, Levitation, or Climbing ability.

Someone is definitely going to have to spend some points in areas that have been neglected over the years.

09 Newkolt 349 AC Wickerbell spurs her bee into motion. The huge insect flies to the southern door where the brownie grabs the knob and twists. The door groans but creaks open on its hinges and hangs ajar. As Raven bounces off of the pillar and looks around the room, he sees the ogres trying to barge into the ruined sanctuary. Realizing that he and Cedron may be overwhelmed by the large number of enemies surrounding them, he draws Thorgrim, the cursed giant-slaying sword from its sheath and surrenders to the  berserker rage. He rushes the twisted giants, swords leading, putting all of his strength and anger into every swing of his blades. Nightwatcher carves through the chest and unwounded thigh of the nearest giant, bringing the Fomorian to its knees just in time for the snarling elf to strike its head from its shoulders. 09 Newkolt 349 AC Beginning of round Wickerbell cries out, "Ellessandra! That's enough! It's folly to persist! You cannot win!" The annis hag snarls, "Begone, fool! My revenge will not be stayed a moment longer! Fight, or count yourself among my enemies!" The small bee-riding fey recoils at the vitriol in her friend's voice. She kicks her heels into the flanks of her bee and it darts forward, slipping between Cedron and Ellessandra to land, straddling Cassidy's limp form. Raven starts to take a step toward the green hag but the arrival of the trolls causes Thorgrim to start throbbing again. The iron blade rattles against the floor. Raven snatches it up once more and mystic fury takes hold again. 09-10 Newkolt 349 AC After taking the leader's sword, Arthur climbs onto Ag'nesallynn's back. The pair fly back toward Kashin with the dragon resuming her elven form before reaching the gate. "We will have to find somewhere to hide this chest. There ' s no way we're sneaking it into the city, but I would like to have it somewhere accessible so the people those mercenaries abused can recoup their losses." She reaches into the chest and pulls out a pouch, "But, I want to make sure Donson gets paid back. We can let him know where we hide the chest and he can make sure other merchants recover their stolen wealth." Arthur rolls his shoulder, puts on the magical goggles that allow him to see in the dark and begins to look for a spot to hide the chest. 09 Newkolt 349 AC The Herald's performance ran all the way up to midnight. Mercenary thugs in the employ of the Green Dragonarmy arrived shortly thereafter to extort money from the owner, Stewart Donson. Arthur, not wanting to reveal his or Agnes’s presence in the city, did not interfere, an act that sat poorly on the conscience of both travelers. Agnes took Arthur’s hand, "My Knight, my love, we are not going to waste any more time. One of your wizard friends can send our message to my people. Right now, you and I are going to get justice for Donson and everyone else being bullied by this scum!" Nothing good leads this way.” Cedron searches his vicinity, listening and looking for anything that may pose a threat. The cloud of gnats, mosquitoes, and biting flies buzz around his ears, dart toward his eyes, and keep landing on his lips. Cedron waves his hand to drive them away, a futile effort that only gives his tormentors another place to land. The bard sees that Raven suffers just as badly, his eyes narrowed. The elf looks his way, "The next time I have to go to a swamp, I'm asking Grotto for some kind of salve to keep the damn bugs off of me."
