07 Deepkolt 349 AC EN ROUTE TO TARITHNESTI Beneath the sheltering canopy of the trees, Kysek floats along, just inches above the ground. The dragon circled, searching for the gold elf wizard that had charmed its rider while the conjured sword pursued it. Kysek, concealed by his ring of invisibility, kept to the shadows, moved as if he wasn't magically hidden. He knew better than to trust such a simple illusion to deceive a dragon's other senses. Realizing that Raven has somehow found him; Kysek keeps the conjured sword moving toward its target and strikes. He stays out of sight utilizing his ring, but pays attention to still stick to shadows and move silently. He wills the sword to continue its assault on the dragon whose rider he just dispatched. The blade flies straight and true, slashing the green behemoth across its chest before darting away. Meanwhile, Raven arrests his fall away from the other jade-hued wyrm and flies back up at its underbelly. Nightwatcher flashes....

EPISODE ONE: EAST OF OMAHA (INTRODUCTION)

On a long and lonesome highway, east of Omaha... Three enormous men, all towering over 6' tall and an 18" red-skinned demon walked into a Waffle House . An elderly waitress that looked like Muriel from "Courage the Cowardly Dog", wearing a black apron, pressed yellow shirt, and a name tag that read "Mirrie" walked up and flipped open her notepad. "Morning, boys." She glanced down at the red demon, "Well, if isn't Satan, himself." The demon looked up, "The name's Sam." "Sure it is, sugar. Do you need a booster seat?" The demon frowned and adjusted his cowboy hat. The three giants seated at the table knew that he wanted to say yes, but that he was too prideful to admit it. "No," he shook his head, "Just a coffee, some bacon, and hasbrowns - smothered, peppered, and covered." "Ok, hon. And I'll bring that booster seat right over. What do the rest of you want?" 07 Deepkolt 349 AC EN ROUTE TO TARITHNESTI Kysek watches Dusk as she runs off into the woods. He turns, peering through the branches, and pulls out a scroll. The parchment cracks as the elf unrolls it. He begins to read. The ink begins to glow and smoke as each word is spoken aloud. As the syllable leaves his lips, a sizzling hiss fills the air as a gleaming blade of pure energy made physical appears. Kysek points and the sword flies through the air, slashing at the wizard-bearing wyrm as if wielded by an invisible hand, slicing through the scales on the side of its snout. The green dragon jerks its head to one side as the blade hits, forcing wyrm and rider to split their attention as Raven flies past. The dragon's head whips around, emerald jaws snapping shut where he had been a heartbeat earlier. Raven twists aside, avoiding fangs the size of a dagger. 07 Deepkolt 349 AC EN ROUTE TO TARITHNESTI With his conjured blade concealed it the dragon's claw, the conjured sword attempts to return to its master. The wyrm relaxes its grip enough to feel the direction it is trying go and follows that pull. Below, Kysek pulls another scroll from his bag of tricks. As the elf quietly reads the scroll, the ink ignites, consuming the parchment. An enormous hand materializes, composed of pure force. Kysek concentrates, sending the massive construct skyward. The dragon's eyes widen in surprise as the hand bursts out of the foliage and flies toward its throat. The dragon releases the conjured sword and grabs the hand, holding it at bay as it continues to dive. Once freed, the flying sword immediately resumes its attack. The conjured blade circles, slashing at its former captor, glancing off of the thick jade scales covering the dragon's belly. Tarithnesti - Distractions and Maneuvers

07 Deepkolt 349 AC EN ROUTE TO TARITHNESTI Kysek continues his flight with Dusk. The elf continues to switch his sight from his own to Bubo’s. He focuses on trying to see everything he can through Bubo’s eyes when doing so. When he focuses on his own surroundings, he keeps a keen eye for ground forces that may have not reached the city yet. He is always reassuring Dusk, “Keep out of sight, girl! Fly silently! Keep a keen eye for enemies! If we find them along the way; it may be our way to help save the city. You’re doing great! Remember; we are the ghosts in the darkness!” As Kysek urges Dusk to fly as fast as she can toward Tarithnesti, he spots it: a narrow stretch of road cutting between two hedgerows shows faint signs of passage: crushed grass, fresh hoofprints, and the glint of metal catching brief sunlight through the canopy. Not a full formation… but scouts. Or outriders. Moving fast enough to avoid drawing attention, but not careful enough to erase their trail entirely. And ...

Road Trip to the Dragon Isles - Ak-Krin to Ak-Tubal

11 Newkolt 349 AC Arthur mounts his horse and rides along with Agnes, Davaa, and Altan, keeping an eye out through their travels. The windblown snow stings and reddens exposed skin. The few clouds that are visible at the beginning of the day swftly vanish, either carried off on the wind or simply evaporating as the sun rises higher, leaving behind a pale blue sky. Davaa is at the head of the line, leading the group toward the sea for the first hour or so before turning due north. Altan brings up the rear. Both of the Khurish warriors ride with confidence born from years of experience. A few hours into the journey, as the sun is just passing its zenith, a flash of movement is spotted just beyond a low rise of the rolling grassland. Figures, clad in heavy furs, move just behind the ridge. Davaa slows his horse, allowing the others to draw closer. "Might be trouble ahead."
