Arcane Research (Ex): Gains a +2 Competence bonus on Spellcraft and Knowledge (Arcana) skill checks.
     Additionally, at every even level, he can add a bonus spell to his spellbook in addition to the spell normally gained through level advancement. This must be a spell from one the schools his order specializes in.
Enhanced Specialization (Ex): Upon passing the Test of High Sorcery, a wizard increases his devotion to his chosen school of specialization. A Wizard of High Sorcery casts all spells from that school at +1 caster level. In addition, he gains a +1 bonus on saving throws against spells from his specialist school and spell-like abilities (but not supernatural abilities) that duplicate such spells. In exchange for this enhanced focus on one school, the wizard must give up one additional school of magic, chosen from among the schools that the other two orders of High Sorcery specialize in. He can never again learn spells from that school.
     He cannot choose a prohibited school that he already chose as a 1st-level wizard. He can still use the prohibited spells he knew prior to becoming a Wizard of High Sorcery, including using items that are activated by spell completion or spell trigger. Menathradon's prohibited schools are Enchantment and Necromancy.
Familiar: Menathradon has a red squirrel familiar named Flit.
Item of Power: Menathradon was gifted a +1 Dagger upon completing his Test of High Sorcery and joining an Order.
Lore: A Loremaster gains the ability to know legends or information regarding various topics, just as a Bard with Bardic Knowledge.
Moon Magic (Ex): Depending on the phases of Krynn's three moons, Menathradon's casting level and spell DCs may be enhanced or penalized.
Order Secret (Magic of Radiance): Once per day for every two class levels he possesses, a White Robe who knows this secret can imbue a damaging spell with radiant energy. Half of the damage dealt by such a spell comes from this radiant energy, and is therefore not subject to being reduced by protection from energy or similar magic. The remainder of the damage dealt is as normal for the spell.
     Against undead, a spell modified in this way deals half again as much damage as normal (double the radiant energy damage). Radiant spells give off as much light as a light spell of equivalent caster level as a side effect, and this light lingers in the area for 1 round after the end of the spell’s duration.
Secret: Loremasters stumble upon all sorts of applicable knowledge and secrets. Menathradon has gained The Lore of True Stamina (+2 bonus on Fortitude saves) and Applicable Knowledge (1 bonus feat).
Tower Resources: A Wizard of High Sorcery gains full admission to the Tower of High Sorcery in Wayreth, with resources available for spell research and the creation of magical items.

     • Improved Evasion (Ex): As described in the Player’s Handbook
     • Perfect Recall (Ex): A familiar has the ability to remember a single scene perfectly, in exhaustive detail, not forgetting it until he chooses to. This is a “frozen moment,” chosen by silent act of will, of something he sees. It retains the focus, field of view, and lighting conditions of the viewing. It can hold one memory per master’s caster level. These scenes can be retained indefinitely, vanishing only upon death, retaining a new memory in the place of an old one, the physical loss of the brain, or as the result of certain spell/psionic attacks.
     • Share Spells: As described in the Player’s Handbook
     • Sight Beyond Sight (Su): A wizard can see through his familiar’s eyes. This ability works at a range of up to 1 mile plus ½ mile per 2 caster levels and lasts for as long as the wizard concentrates.
     • Skill Bonus: A familiar grants its master a +2 circumstance bonus to all Knowledge (Arcana) and Spellcraft checks if within arms’ reach. Squirrels grant their master a +3 bonus on Climb checks.
     • Speech (Su): A familiar can communicate via speech in its master’s native tongue.

Skills: Squirrels have a +8 bonus racial bonus on Balance, Climb, and Jump checks. A squirrel can always choose to take 10 on Climb and Balance checks, even if rushed or threatened, and always counts as having a running start when using the Jump skill. A squirrel uses its Dexterity modifier instead of its Strength modifier for Climb and Jump checks.

Menathradon is the representative from the Order of High Sorcery who came to Silvanost to bring Romulus, Shadow, and Ra'ziir to Wayreth for their Tests of High Sorcery. He is primarily a researcher and archivist for his faction as well as an instructor for novice mages who have yet to take their Tests.

Spiritual Guide: Ornforithalas has a spirit guide that provides a divine bonus equal to ¼ of his Ranger level to Handle Animal, Knowledge (Nature), Listen, Search, Spot, and Survival checks. The spirit departs in civilized area larger than a hamlet (population 400+) but returns when he leaves town.

Ornforithalas of House Protector is a guard captain in the city of Silvanost. While he was initially suspicious of the party, he soon bonded with Kysek over being fathers with young sons. He is married to Tephysea, a Wizard of the Red Robes.

Kender Pockets (Ex): At 1st level, a Kender begins play with ten special items, all regarded as harmless. Acquired (or “handled”) items during play will take a spot in the kender’s pockets, displacing an existing special item. An additional item slot will be gained every level, increasing the number of special items they can hold. The kender will also receive a randomly selected item. As a Move Action, a Kender can rummage through their pockets to retrieve a random item.
